Black Day(블랙데이)

There are definitely some funny Holidays in South Korea.  One of my new favorites is "Black Day," which I just celebrated a couple days ago.  April 14th is a South Korean informal tradition for single people to get together and eat jajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce).  Since I don't have a girlfriend, I headed out with a couple buddies the other night we celebrated together.  Korea is a pretty romantic country and everyone likes to be coupled up.  Korea has more holidays related to couples than you can imagine.  It seems like every month there's another day dedicated to you and your significant other (though I find that mostly only the younger generation celebrates these).  The idea of "Black Day" is that those who did not give or receive gifts on Valentine's Day (February 14) or White Day (March 14) can get together and eat jajangmyeon, white Korean noodles with black bean sauce, to celebrate their singledom.  Regardless of the day, Jajangmyeon is delicious and I eat it on occasion.  Check out a picture below:
